 Thinning: ( Pruning Technique )

"The safe choice for quality  Tree Removals and Tree Trimming  in Portage, Kalamazoo and surrounding areas."

Proper thinning retains crown shape and size and should provide an even distribution of foliage throughout the crown.

Thinning increases sunlight penetration and air movement through the crown. Increased light and air stimulate and maintain interior foliage, which can encourage taper on scaffold branches. Thinning is also used to remove watersprouts and suckers but aggressive removal tends to promote vigorous production of more watersprouts.

Excessive trimming on the lower two-thirds of a branch or stem can have adverse effects on the tree and therefore is not an acceptable pruning practice.

Our veteran staff can assist by providing the highest quality workmanship and performed in accordance with Best Practices and ANSI National Standards.
